Abuse

If you are suffering from abuse it can be difficult to talk about it, especially if the abuser is someone you know, a member of your family or someone known to your family.

It is important that you take the first step to put an end to abuse. Reach out to someone you trust like a teacher, tutor or your GP. Your GP will be able to help you and even if they know the person in question, they will not break your confidence.

It is important that you speak out; not only is it a horrible experience for you but it can lead to problems in later life. If you feel you can’t talk to anyone, call ChildLine on 0800 1111 - it is run by professionals who will know how to help you.

If you are in immediate danger call 999.
